American Fellows of the Whitney Museum of American Art
On March 12, 2012, the Dedalus Foundation hosted the American Fellows of the Whitney Museum of American Art for a discussion of Robert Motherwell’s place in the history of post-war art. The program was moderated by Whitney curator Barbara Haskell, and the speakers included Michael Taylor, Director of the Hood Museum at Dartmouth College, Dedalus Foundation president Jack Flam, and Motherwell catalogue raisonné co-authors Katy Rogers and Tim Clifford.
Catalogues Raisonnés: An Exploration of the Model
Dedalus board of directors member John Elderfield and president Jack Flam were panelists at the Art Dealers Association of America symposium, “Catalogues Raisonnés: An Exploration of the Model.” The symposium was held on March 9th and 10th in conjunction with the ADAA Art Show at the Park Avenue Armory.
Artist Oral History: Strategies and Goals
On March 6th, The Dedalus Foundation and The Museum of Modern Art Archives co-sponsored a symposium, “Artist Oral History: Strategies and Goals,” held at the museum’s Celeste Bartos Theater. The program was co-moderated by Dedalus Foundation president Jack Flam and Michelle Elligott, the Rona Roob Senior Museum Archivist at The Museum of Modern Art. The distinguished speakers included:

IFAR Panel: Warhol Board Stops Authenticating: Issues and Fallout
On December 7, 2011, Jack Flam, president of the Dedalus Foundation, was a speaker at a panel sponsored by the International Foundation for Art Research on the subject “Warhol Board Stops Authenticating: Issues and Fallout.” The other speakers were Jack Cowart, David Nash, Peter Stern, Robert Storr, and Christine Vincent.
