The exhibition of the 2015 City Wide High School Scholarship winners will be on view from May 20 through June 7, 2015 at The Gallery at Industry City, in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Presented alongside the City Wide High School Scholarship Winners Art Exhibition will be an exhibition of art from Sunset Park High School.

Since 1999, the Dedalus Foundation has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors from New York City public high schools who plan to attend college and have shown excellence in fine art or art history. In each of the two categories, submissions were judged by a panel composed of representatives from the New York City Department of Education.

Dedalus is pleased to present an exhibition of works by the 2015 scholarship recipients. Paintings, drawings, and mixed media works are on display that highlight the technical skill and compositional creativity of artists Anzia Anderson, Immanuel Barnett, Darien Fernandez, Sarah Gratz, Catherine Lebarca, Erica McGloin, and Lea Simoniello, winners of the Art Portfolio Scholarship.

Recipients of the Art History Scholarship, Christine Cincotta, Fatima Khamise, Isadora Krsek, Sophie Saskin, and Jodi Sterling, wrote their winning essays on an impressive array of subjects ranging from Ben Shahn to Jackson Pollock. Powerpoint presentations describing their research are being screened in the gallery.
