2016 Citywide High School Scholarship Winners Exhibition

The exhibition of the 2016 City Wide High School Scholarship winners will be on view from May 25 through June 11, 2016 at The Gallery at Industry City, in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Presented alongside the City Wide High School Scholarship Winners Art Exhibition will be an exhibition of art from Sunset Park High School.

Since 1999, the Dedalus Foundation has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors from New York City public high schools who plan to attend college and have shown excellence in fine art or art history. In each of the two categories, submissions were judged by a panel composed of representatives from the New York City Department of Education.

Dedalus is pleased to present an exhibition of works by the 2016 scholarship recipients. Paintings, drawings, and mixed media works are on display that highlight the technical skill and compositional creativity of artists Oonagh Carroll-Warhola, Joelsy Fernandez, Robert Gomez, Elizabeth Goncharova, Perdong Lin, Gabrielle Robinson, Nina Vazquez, and Tahiri Guevara.

The exhibition will also include slides of presentations by the five Dedalus Art History Scholarship recipients Lily Pisano, Joanna Seifter, Isabella B. Nuce, Katherine Lopez, and Mery Concepcion.
