Correspondence
Below are examples of the thousands of pieces of Robert Motherwell’s correspondence in the Dedalus Foundation Archives. The archives hold letters to and from artists, curators and researchers spanning the course of Motherwell’s career. Among these are letters to and from Ad Reinhardt and Roberto Matta and poets such as Octavio Paz and Marianne Moore, curator Bryan Robertson and art historian Dore Ashton.
