COMMENTS

This painting appears on Motherwell’s May 26, 1970 “OPEN Series, 1967-1970” list. This typed studio list with handwritten additions lists 153 numbered Opens done within that three-year period and provided the model for the manner in which we present the titles of the Opens in the Catalogue Raisonné. It also appears in consignment and sales records of the Marlborough-Gerson Gallery.
