Comments

This lithograph appeared in two formats: a limited edition and a poster in a commercial run of 800. The poster was used as an announcement of Motherwell's exhibition at Galerie im Erker in 1971 and included the legend "Motherwell, 12. Juni bis 28. August 1971, Galerie im Erker, St. Gallen, am Gallusplatz." The poster version of the image was printed without any of the horizontal lines that appear in the original lithograph.
