One impression of Personage was given to French architect Pierre Chareau and his wife, Dollie, in 1944 with the inscription "Merry Xmas to Dollie + Pierre Chareau - Bob + Maria." During 1945 and 1946, Chareau designed and built Motherwell's studio house in East Hampton.
