Untitled (A), (B), and (C) were included in an album organized by Mundiarte and sponsored by the King of Spain to commemorate the work of Fray Bartolomeo de las Casas, the first Spanish priest to travel to the Americas and a defender of human rights during the Spanish Conquest. Motherwell was honored to be given the first article for illustration, doing with articles eleven and twenty-five of the Declaration of Human Rights. Artists participating in the album included Eduardo Chillida, Antonio Clavé, José Guerrero, Julio Le Park, Roberto Matta, Edgar Negret, Jesus Rafael Soto, Rufino Tamayo, and Antoni Tápies. The portfolios were donated to international organizations such as the United Nations and to heads of state.
