27 original lithographs on various handmade Japanese papers attached with chine appliqué to Arches paper of various sizes. The cover of the portfolio is embellished with a duplicate of the fifteenth image from the illustrated book format printed on Masa Dosa paper in red and measuring 9 x 11 in. (22.9 x 28 em!. The portfolio has no colophon page. Colophon documentation for this format is contained in the colophon page for the portfolio with text.

A portfolio of 27 loose sheets in a clamshell box covered in natural linen
fabricated by Portfoliobox, Providence, Rhode Island. The box is lined with gray paper. The sheets are arranged within the box according to size in a graduated stock of three components: 13 sheets in the top folder; 11 sheets in the middle folder; and 3 loose sheets. All three components are enclosed in a folio wrapper of Arches paper. The folio is stamped with "Robert Motherwell" in block, "Octavio Paz" in red, and "The Limited Editions Club" in black and measures 31 1/4 x 26 1/4 in. (79.4 x 66.7 cm).
