This edition was donated by the artist to the "Havery Gantt for Senate Campaign Committee" in 1990. Proceeds were contributed to Gantt's senate race against incumbent Jesse Helms of North Carolina. Other artists who donated limited-edition prints to this initiative were Richard Diebenkorn, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, and Edward Ruscha.
