The Dedalus Foundation and Art Beyond Sight are pleased to invite you to a reception for dis, featuring works by the inaugural cohort of the Art and Disability Institute: Gema Alava, Emilie Gossiaux, Annie Leist, Anthony Ptak, Gordon Sasaki, and Julia Yepez.
These artists share disability as both a subjective and objective experience. Their personal relationships with disability fall along a broad continuum, as does the relationship of disability to their work. Collectively they form a snapshot of the many ways artists working with and around disability now enter the contemporary art conversation.
