    Comments
The paper for this edition was crafted by the American hand mill Twinrocker under the direction of Howard and Kathryn Clark by laminating two sheets during the papermaking process. This stone was used a second time as part of the cover designed for the catalogue for Robert Motherwell Selected Prints, 1961-1974, held at Brooke Alexander Inc., New York, November 23-December 28, 1974. The image was printed horizontally and wrapped around the spine. Motherwell added a Gauloises cigarette package to the cover as a collage element, and though he originally intended to publish a limited edition of the catalogue, he ultimately signed only a few copies from the commercial run of 4,000. The colotype was printed by Triton Press and the collage by Graphic Color Plate, New York. The catalogue cover was documented in Belknap as Appendix 26.
