This poster was designed to announce the exhibition Robert Motherwell: New Collages at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, October 7 - November 17, 1968. It was produced in two formats: a limited edition and a commercial run offset printed with black lettering. This exhibition included Spoleto, Art Bulletin Collage, with Cross, In Ochre and Cobalt, Country Life No. 1, The America Cup (original for The Paris Review edition, cat. no. 17), and In Beige and White No. 4.
