Fellowships & Awards
The Dedalus Foundation serves its mission to foster a greater public understanding of modern art and modernism through its various programs, fellowships and awards programs. Each of these is intended to offer specific support to individuals or institutions that share the Foundation’s mission, and are engaged in areas that it prioritizes, including: arts education, research and publications, archives and conservation, and exhibitions and other curatorial projects.
Supports critical and historical studies related to painting, sculpture, and allied arts from the twentieth century.
Awarded annually to a PhD candidate who is working on a dissertation related to painting, sculpture, and allied arts from the twentieth century.
Awarded annually to the author of an outstanding publication in the history and criticism of modernism in the arts.
Awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who intend to further their studies in fine arts or art history at an accredited college, university, or art school.
Awarded annually to an outstanding exhibition catalogue that makes a significant contribution to the scholarship of modern art or modernism.
